Default Another damn tire question

My friend has a pair of american racing slicks, so he says, i went to go look at them and maybe buy them, and they do say american racing on them, but they have tread. They dont have much, and look like a set of tires you usually see on a pro street car. Do some slicks have tread? cause from my understanding they were called slicks for a reason.

American Racing does not make tires, BUT American Racer does. Are you sure it didn't say Racer, if they have tread then they are probably one of their line of oval track tires (either dirt or pavement) someone is using on the street. See people do that all the time with Hot Rods or lihter cars that don't load the tire so hard.
