***Drag tire recommendations for fronts on '05GTO?? I have a 2005 GTO and I've figured out that I'll run M/T ET Street Radials 275/40r17 on the back for my drags, with the 9" because my concern, like all, is the rub. I'm getting Koni's, Eibach's, and drag bags. I'm going to roll the fenders as well, so hopefully there will not be an issue WITH a rub.
Here is where a question comes into play for you guys. What should I run in the front? I was thinking 255/40r17's? Maybe 8"? My street tires are 245/40r18's and they are fine. I'm going to have a sep. street set and have my drag set. I'd appreciate what you guys have to add. Thanks...

I have weld prostars front&back with mt et streets and it works great on the street
Plus the prostars are very light. It cut about 50lbs of the goat so I would give them a try. Your stock rims will be fine up front.

please tell me more about these weld prostars. I like the idea of shedding weight. I don't have stock rims anymore. Actually, never had stock rims to begin with...
