Default New Bogart RR RT Wheels!

I finally received my Bogart RR RT wheels from SJM. The rears are 17x11 and have 315/35/17 Nitto 555R drag radials mounted to them. The fronts are 17x7 and have 215/50/17 Dunlop Direzza DZ101 tires.

I've been waiting for these forever, but it's been worth it!

What do you guys think?

LOOKS FREAKING AWESOME!

Are they rated for the street? 'Cos the regular 15" skinny fronts have been known to split (2-3 friends) when street driven (yeah, they're not rated for street though).

Do you have any pics from the front? I was lookin at doin a 7" wheel up front, curious to see how skinny it is compared to front runners.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'll try to answer some questions...

First, the total cost was just under $2500 for the wheels. The tires were a lot cheaper than the GSD3's (275/40/17) that I had on before, though the Nitto drag radials won't last as long.

I bought them from SJM (sponsor). They are not DOT approved for street use, mainly because that would raise the cost of the wheels even more. They are built as road race wheels, and since road racing puts a lot more abuse on the wheels than normal driving, I think it is safe to assume that these are more than strong enough to be on a daily driver.

My dad actually got them mounted to the tires before I got a chance to weigh them, but he said it was a night and day difference in weight from the stock wheels. He said he braced himself to pick up the box with the new wheels and was really surprised how he could pick it up with no effort. Steve at SJM could probably tell you the approximate weight if you call him.

Here is a close up pic and the best pic I have that shows the width of the front tire:

I came very close to getting those wheels. They look great on your ride. I got the RR 10s instead. Bogarts are great wheels. I actually have been to the shop where they are produced. Good people.

Gotta pay if you want a good set of wheels. I'm willing to bet he had zero fitment issues and the finish will probably last a long time.

People though I was insane when I had Budniks on my Camaro, but guess what.. I never had any problems with them and the fitment was perfect.

I loved the look, the quality is amazing, they weigh next to nothing, and tires are cheaper than doing 275's all around like when it was stock.

Everyone seems to have two price options when buying wheels. Either you gamble with quality an buy wheels for under $1000, or you spend $2000+ and buy high quality wheels. There really isn't much available in the $1000-2000 range. $2500 isn't really that bad IMO. Some high-end forged wheels can be more like $4000!
