Talking Had my Y2K's widened and got me some 315's

Been wanting some 315's for a while, so I sent my wheels to Weldcraft, and they did a great job the welds look pretty dang good. My wheels were 9.5" wide and I had them widened to 11". I also am using a 1" adapter. So here are the pics. Will take some better pics of the car this weekend maybe (When it is clean). Did have to do a little BFHing, not much. Tires are Michelin pilot sport PS2's.

315's Yea.

275's fronts compared to the 315's rear.

On the car.

How much were they? I love Y2ks and I love 315s. Just wish they would have made them 11s to start with!

you must REALLY love y2ks then. $225 per wheel + spacers = not worth it IMO. I just would have got a set of 17x11 zr1s, tt2s, ttms etc and sold the y2ks. Either way. Cost aside, they look much better then they did before.

Looks great. We actually picked up our 00 with the stock wheels widened to 11" with the Nitto 555Rs.

Well I dont really care to have those wheels you listed on my car, and I do really like the Y2K's. Plus then i would have to speed more money to buy four wheels, as opposed to widening wheels that I already own. If I had the money to spend I would just buy SP500's and then the car would be perfect (which will be on it someday).

can you widen them in the front to creat a lip or do they HAVE to be widened in the back? i was thinking of having my 35th anaversary wheels widened and re-chromed b/c i love them and want to run 315's also. However i want to widen them from the front b/c: A) i don't want to have to worry about ******* up the offset and hitting my bump stops, B) i think they would look cool with a lip on them.

is that possible?

Its not really "spending more money", bc you could have bought a set of zr1s/ttms etc for ~$600 and then you could have went back around and SOLD yours. meaning you would have been out a little money or maybe even broken even. Also, your wheels appear to be 18s. You could have just bought a set of 18x10.5 y2ks and sold the 9.5s. Either way, was just my opinion on what "I" would hvae done. I just personally dont think its worth spending ~$500 to widen those wheels. but im glad your happy with them.

They can only be widened from the back.
