Default Please Help!!correct Backspace For Weld 15x8 Rims And Baer Brake Problem

Hey Guys Please Help Me Out Here If You Can,was Wondering If Anyone Knew The Correct Backspacing To Get For 15x8 Weld Draglites On A 96 Camaro Ss,8i Have The 5.5 Inch Backspaing Right Now And They Aren't Fitting Cause The Brake Caliper Is Stopping It From Fully Going On,do I Have To Grind The Caliper To Get To Fit?or Do I Need Longer Wheel Studs With A Big Spacer?

Also Was Wondering On The Baer 13" Front Brake Kit With The Baer Calipers Also,i Can't Even Fit An Oem 16 Oem Inch 10 Spoke Z28 Rim On Those Whats Up Wit That?is A 17" Rim The Smallest I Can Put On There? Cause That's What It Seems Like

If You Can Help Me With These Problems That Would Be Great, thanks For Takin The Time To Look!

5.5" is the correct BS for the 8 inch rim. idk about for lt1's but on ls1's you have to grind down the caliper quite a bit. then you can run them w/o a spacer. its what i have done 2 times now.

You have an aftermarket big brake kit so my guess is there are No 15" drag wheels that will fit your combo no matter what the backspace.

Cool, thanks alot not sure if its got ls1 calipers,I bought the car with everything on it but it seems like I have to grind the front of the calipers quite a bit like you said, but even then it seems like then the wheels studs are not gonna come out enough enough to take a bolt,so I don't know but thanks a lot,I really appreciate it

well do you have the shanked lug nuts? pro stars require them. they go into the wheel and are long enough if you are not running any spacers. if you do need spacers, you might wanna look into the arp studs.

No I don't have shanked lugs just regular chrome ones but thats what I figured on the spacers and studs, but then on the arp studs, you have to take the axle out to get them in so its just a pain,I didn't know it was so difficult to get the welds on these cars, lol, but they are for sale if anyone wants them now just bought the 17 11 zr1s instead so the 15x8 drag lites are for sale 5.5 bs,5 4.75 bolt pattern, also comes with slightly used mt 28x10.5 et drags mounted on them,$475 shipped, let me know if anyone is interested, thanks a lot for the input I really needed it!
