Default Rear tires rub

i got c5 zo6 replica rims, the rims are Rear 18 x 10.5 /54mm and front 17 x 9.5 /56mm. The rear tires are 295/35/18, and when ever i make a right or left turn even alittle fast they start to rub on the inside of the wheel well, One finger will fit between the tire and body. And i want to run bigger tires now. I was thinking of getting some wheel spacers to see if it will fix it. I know other people are running bigger tires so i dont know what the deal is with these rims.
