This article applies to the Chevrolet Camaro (2010-Present).

It's relatively small in size, doesn't cost much and should be replaced every 40-50,000 miles. If you haven't already guessed, we're talking about the engine air filter in your (2010-present) Chevrolet Camaro. As the name implies, it filters contaminants out of air being ingested by the engine to prevent excess wear or damage. While you might be tempted to head down to your local Chevrolet dealer, or a trusted mechanic's shop, for installation of a new one, we believe you may want to think again. The cost and time to replace the air filter in your car is so modest, it makes most sense to simply switch it out yourself. Here's how!

Step 1 – Purchase a cotton gauze filter

  • It also provides a slight bump in fuel economy and horsepower, according to the manufacturer.
