Special Edition Chevrolets Debut at SEMA
Every SEMA Show, Chevrolet and Chevrolet Performance show off new products and amazing concept cars that consumers can try to replicate with the same parts seen at the show.
This year, GM will bring several fifth-generation Camaros, the new Chevrolet SS and a 2015 Silverado. Here are a few interesting selections from GM.
First are a pair of 2015 Camaro Commemorative Special Editions.They feature exclusive 20-inch wheels, stripe, body color front splitter, the ZL1 spoiler, and fender emblems and will come in Black, Silver Ice Metallic, Summit White, Ashen Gray Metallic, and Redhot while SS models will receive an additional body-color hood insert.
There is also the Camaro SS Special Edition that will arrive in the first-quarter of 2015 and will wear an exclusive Emerald Green color, silver stripes, and other unique exterior features. We’ll see it debut at the 2014 SEMA Show.
Next is the SS Sport Concept that uses Australian lineage with a makeover that includes “Some Like It Red Hot” exterior coloring; Chevrolet Accessories Grille kit, fog light bezels, side fender vents, and rear spoiler; stripes; 20-inch high-gloss black wheels in 20 x 8.5 front and 20 x 9.0 rear; wheel caps with the Holden logo, sport pedal kit and cargo net, and Holden logo floor mats and cargo tray.
It’s still powered by the LS3 but will come with a new six-speed manual transmission along with the six-speed auto with paddle shifters. It will also receive Magnetic Ride Control, and Brembo rear brakes.
Finally, after its debut at the State Fair of Texas, the Silverado Technology Concept will make its appearance at the SEMA Show.
It uses high-strength steel panels, OnStar with 46 LTE with built-in WiFi, EcoTec 5.3-liter V8, 22-inch wheels, Chevrolet Accessories grille insert, tubular assist steps, soft folding tonneau cover, carpet bedliner, fender flares, tinted headlamp lenses, performance exhaust, upgraded brakes, and a wireless phone-charging mat.
