Corvette ZR1 vs. Z06: Which would you pick?

Here’s a cool video comparing the C6 Z06 against the C6 ZR1 at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway from the guys at Car and Driver magazine. While I wished for more tail-out action and hardcore driving, if you can sit through the whole video it’s a nice highlight of the two line-topping C6 Vettes…and at the end he brings up a good point, will GM make a C7 Z06? How about a C7 ZR1? We can only hope so! But for now, here’s a small video celebrating two awesome Corvettes that I will be sad to see go.

As for me, while the 638 hp, full carbon, blown bada$$ known as the ZR1 is the king of the hill, my favorite is still the Z06. There’s something to be said for a high revving, naturally aspirated, all aluminum 427 cubic inch motor wrapped in a potent chassis. Adding the ZR1 carbon lip kit and the carbon/ceramic brakes only makes the Z06 that much more legendary.
