Does Anyone Use Carbs Anymore?

Carb'd Engine
As the host and producer of /BIG MUSCLE on Youtube’s /DRIVE Network we screen literally hundreds of cars every quarter as possible contenders for our show.

What we’re finding however is that so many of our GM submissions are fitted with LS conversions. Now I get it, the LS transplant in vintage iron is an amazing conversion and it does make sense. You get less weight up front, gobs of power and an entry price that’s relatively low. I like the idea of this conversion in certain cars, but not for everything. If you’re rolling an older car as a daily driver or a full-on track rat, the conversion makes sense. However if your ride is a weekend toy that doesn’t see many miles, keep it stock, open a book and learn a little bit about how to tune a carburetor.

Seriously, trying to find something with an old-school mill is becoming harder and harder these days.
