RIDE ON! A 1999 Pewter Trans Am in the Garage

LS1 RO 1

It would be difficult to not appreciate fourth generation muscle, particularly GM muscle. Despite not having the same curves and styling as their predecessors, these loud and proud machines still often rocked massive V8 engines, RWD, and the ability to leap into a wheelie at the drag strip. Being as powerful as they are, they simply demand attention and further modification. And all of that i not even taking into consideration the fact that they are affordable as well!

Today we’ll step inside LS1Tech member avengedws6’s garage and take a closer look at this fourth generation beauty that lies within — a 1999 Pontiac Trans Am!

LS1 RO 2

Painted Pewter and rocking a 6.1L engine, there is no denying that this Trans Am is certainly a wonderful, even if it were just stock. In reality, however, this ride is far from what it was in stock form. In fact, it might be a bit hard to find anything that was stock on this ride!

As the ride sits now, it has DSS pistons and rods, an EPS cam, Dart heads, a fully built STGF 4 T56, a WS6 hood, Rushforth “Livewire” wheels, and much more. Currently the Trans Am puts out 470 rear wheel horsepower and 440 lb./ft. of torque.

With a car as powerful as that, one might think that avengedws6 would stop modifying his ride and be happy with where it is. Of course, anyone who has ever worked on and modified a vehicles knows that doing such a thing is close to impossible!

Go stop by his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
