Solid Chevy Camaro Pair Featured at Fall Carlisle Auction

Two red Camaros, old and new school, are some of the hottest rides we spotted on the auction block.

Fall Carlisle 2019 event is headed to the Carlisle, PA fairgrounds, October 2-6. The annual four-day autofest features a huge automotive flea market, car corral, Manufacturers Midway, and the 2019 Fall Carlisle Auction. The auction docket features a wide range of vehicles, and some serious muscle.

Two Camaros caught our eye. A 1984 Camaro Z28, and a 2002 Camaro SS 35th anniversary edition. From classic to modern, these are two outstanding examples of Chevy’s high-performance superstar car.

The ’80s were a great time for the Camaro. Third-generation Camaros rolled off the line from 1982–1992, and the Z28 was especially a favorite among drivers and critics alike with Car and Driver naming the 1984 Camaro Z28 the “Best Handling American Car.”

This pristine example has the original factory paint in Red. The Charcoal interior, glass, and driveline are all original, as well. Plus, it boasts very low mileage of only 30,575 on the ticker.

Running on a 305 ci (5.0-liter) V8, mated to the rare 5-speed manual transmission, it produces 190 horsepower and 240 lb.-ft of torque.

Clean engine bay, clean interior, and clean body make this a true find.

As a cool bonus, it comes with all the original paper work, brochures, window sticker and even invoice.

The Z4C 35th Anniversary Edition Camaro SS came out in 2002 and it was a fitting and very cool tribute to the legend. There is so much to love with this SS trim. Bright Red exterior with a black and gray interior featuring leather seats with 35th embroidery badging on the headrests. This top also has a that great t-top.

Described as being near showroom condition, this Camaro only has 49,000 miles on the odometer.

Under the hood is a 5.7L LS1 V8 engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. Yeah, this is a Camaro that is going to drive and handle beautifully.

This rare find has a lot of Camaro history, and will definitely be a popular draw.
