SVE Specialy Vehicle Engineering Yenko Camaro Supercharged

Insane 2022 Yenko Camaro from SVE gets a 50 horsepower boost from last year. Listen to it scream in this fantastic dyno video!

If you’re unfamiliar with Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) and the outstanding Yenko Camaros they produce, you’re in for a treat. For over 25 years, SVE has been creating spectacular performance vehicles. Their original influence is the iconic 1969 COPO Camaro. They aim to keep the spirit of that legendary muscle car monster alive by turning Camaros into supercar killing beasts. SVE brought us a monumentally powerful Camaro for the 2021 model year with an astonishing power output of 1,050 horsepower. Now, SVE has done it once again for the 2022 model year Camaro.

In a recent post to the SVE Facebook Page, the new 2022 Yenko/SC Stage II Camaro is seen making a power pull on the dyno. According to the video’s description, the 2022 model year Yenko/SC Stage II got another horsepower bump and now makes an eye-watering 1,100 horsepower. However, if that alone isn’t convincing, just give the video a listen. The aggressive roar of the  V8 is enough to fill any car enthusiast of any level with adrenaline.

SVE’s Treatment Is Far More Than Just An Absurd Power Upgrade

Sure, the output of 1,100 horsepower is crazy enough. However, the Yenko/SC Stage II Camaro is much more than a supercharger and a tune. Though the exact details of the 2022 model year Camaro are not yet available, we can turn to the specs of the 2021 model to get a general idea of what we’re looking at.

The massive step up in power comes from SVE’s engine. While it is based on the same 6.2-liter LT1 engine you’ll find in these Camaros stock; the displacement sees a substantial bump to 6.8 liters or 416 cubic inches. Furthermore, it comes with a forged steel rotating assembly.

Additionally, the Yenko Camaros add a supercharger and custom stainless-steel headers to the mix. It’s safe to assume this is the same engine used in the 2022 models.

The Yenko package comes with plenty to support the additional power, though. It has magnetic ride control, an electronic limited-slip differential,  and a suspension system that uses unique bushings, springs, and stabilizer bars to optimize handling and corner performance.

Additional upgrades include the paint-matched carbon fiber cowl-induction hood and a rear spoiler.

It’s worth mentioning once again that all these specs are for the 2021 model year but will likely be on 2022 models as well. Pricing for the 2021 Yenko models started at $69,995. That does not include the price of the car. So again, it’s safe to expect similar numbers for the 2022 model year.

Unfortunately, California residents need not apply for the 1,100 horsepower variant, as it is not CARB legal. There is a CARB legal option, though. But, unfortunately, it comes with a “lowly” 750 horsepower.

Overall, we couldn’t be more excited to see SVE continue to push the envelope with the Yenko/SC Camaro. Only 50 were available for the 2021 model year. So, if you’re interested in owning a 2022 example, you’d best get in contact with your local Chevy Dealer soon!
