This week’s Throwback video features a commercial for the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette with an emphasis on the 638 hp supercharged ZR1.

This week’s Throwback video features a customized Chevrolet Impala SS owned by legendary car guy and TV funny man Tim Allen.

Until the new LT4 was introduced for the 2015 Corvette Z06, the LS9 V8 from the C6 Corvette ZR1 was the most powerful production road motor from GM ever. That engine helped make the C6 ZR1 one of the most formidable performance cars in the world and when you swap that engine into another car – it doesn’t fail to impress.

Way back in February, a sink hole appeared underneath the floor of the historic Corvette Museum and began swallowing cars whole. It almost looked like some elaborate hoax for a while, with people speculating that the cars shown to be swallowed looked a lot like Matchbox cars.

I’m just going to put this down to weight and gearing.
