The LSX Willys Jeep Is Rolling Insanity: Video Inside

Words can’t explain the lunacy of an LS-swapped Willys Jeep and here’s proof someone was not only crazy enough to make one, but also drive it with anger! The original open-cockpit Willys Jeeps were already dangerous enough with the paltry stock motors thanks to a stubby wheelbase, a high center of gravity and no seat belts. Driving one at speed was a gamble, as they have a bit of a stigma from far too many roll-overs. Now add a modern motor making four times the power and you’re really cookin’ with gas!
This particular example is dubbed The LSX Willys Jeep and it sports a 4.8 LS motor that’s good for 304 hp at the tires through a 4L80E transmission with a 3200 stall. That might not sound like much, but considering it weighs 1886-pounds with the driver, it doesn’t have a lot of mass to move.
