We've Got Your Top 7 Crossovers Right Here

Putting an LS engine into a different body is a tried and true way to honor the engine, and still play a little bit of Dr. Frankenstein.  Why shouldn’t that power source go inside everything from a small airplane to a shopping cart to a Fox body Mustang?  Or better yet, why not take a whole body (engine and all) and put it onto a different frame? (Yes, I’m partial to the Camaro on a Blazer frame.)

Your response to our Facebook poll taught us that there’s very little crossover that LS1 fans are unwilling to consider (and then argue about), so here’s a few of our favorites culled from your responses and our own office poll. These are primarily LS engines in non-LS bodies (because as one fan put it “putting a Chevy engine into another Chevy just makes a mutt, not a crossover.” We made an exception for the Tahoe). But this leaves out a whole world of hybrids, mutts, and mash-ups. So tell us, what’s the worst thing you can to do an LS engine or LS-powered car?
