10's on motor this time

Well I finally had a chance to make it to the track this year. I made it once last year with the new 441 in the car. Didnt do very well. This time first pass off trailer was 10.991 @127. By far probably not what it should be for what I have in the car. But I am happy with it. I think with some better shifting, and a better 60' it should go 10.8's on motor. Then maybe i will turn on the spray again and see what she does. Went 10.70 a couple years ago on spray.

My daughter took my phone and made a vid of one of my passes in a bracket class. I had to load it on facebook as my phone would not let me e-mail it to myself. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater

don't know for sure if that will work, but here is a pic of my slips. Pretty consistent for a stick car with kyb adj. shocks and not racing for a year.

ok for some reason it will not upload my pics now. I will try later.

Maybe this time I can figure out how to get the 10 sec club to appear by my name. :)

What were your 60' times? Just curious to see what you were able to do with the KYB AGX adjustable shocks? I had them on my car till the end of last year when I decided to put double adjustable Afco's on my car because I broke the rear end last October and decided to redo the whole rear suspension all at the same time. My best 60' with those shocks were a 1.502.

So far the best 60' has been a 1.54. I need to go to the track more and play with them, launch rpm, and shift rpm with the new motor. I ran 3 passes the other day with the exact same 60' of a 1.627 best was a 1.595. I get some pretty good wheel spin off the line. Went sideways on the 1-2 shift a couple times. But at least it was consistant

Car is full weight too. Scaled it and it surprised me a bit. Went right at 3500# without me. Im 225. I figured the car would be heavier. The only reduction has been spare, abs module, and k-member. I figured with the cage and all the other heavy suspension parts that it was around 3650 w/o me. Still a pig for racing though.

Went to Cordova and ran again yesterday. Track hooked a ton better. Ran a 10.933, then came out of the hole a bit harder and ran a 10.824 @127 with a 1.542 60'. Backed that up with a 10.856. Now i have got to powershift it to see what it does. But it will have to wait till next year. Racing is pretty much over hear till spring.
