Chase for a 10 second slip
After getting everything back from the machine shop including my new heads I got the motor back together and in the car by the end of that week and was putting break in miles on it the following week. As soon as I was able to I took it the track to see what she would do with a previous best time of 11.42 @ 120 with just exhaust and a 150 shot. Well as luck would have it I found the next weak part, my clutch master I guess couldn't keep up with the added power and 7k rpm shifts. I wasn't able to get one pass without missing a gear. I can't even remember the time but I do remember the mph was 131 so that was promising. So I gave up on that for the time being until I could get a new M/C.
Once again luck comes along and I end up losing 3rd gear completely in the transmission in the fall of last year so racing was done for the year. Well before the year was up I ended up purchasing a new adjustable master but still didn't have money for a rebuild. About a 2 months ago I finally saved up enough and bought all the parts for a rebuild/upgrade and attempted to do it myself and low and behold I can now rebuild a T56

So about a month ago the track opens and I go to get my slip. I don't have a 2 step in my car yet so I've gotta do some footwork to launch my car. I figured I could slip the clutch and still get a decent time, no. The best pass that evening was an 11.42 @ 131 so I know it has more in it but what did I need to do to get it there... Well this past weekend I go out again and try dumping the clutch like I used to and that does the trick! First pass on bottle is a 11.0 @ 128 launching at 5.5k, second pass I launch at 6k and boom! 10.98 @ 128 with a 1.6 60ft.
I think with a 2 step and a little more experimenting with tire pressure and launch rpm I can get it down even further but for the time being I'm extremely happy!
