Default Gas Mileage / Thinking of building an LS1

How many of you guys drive their 10 sec (or better cars) as a daily driver? If so what kind of gas mileage are you getting? Also post if you are using a power adder to get into the 10's.

I see a few cam only cars in the 10's so I can see some of them being daily drivers, but with that much cam the milage would be severly cut.

Now here's the reason I ask this question. I currently have a 6 cylinder and am considering making the LS1 swap but if I already have an LS1 on the engine stand then I might as well build it before I put it in. Is it possible to have a daily driver that gets decent (20MPG or so) gas milage and still run in the 10's and toat the wheels without a power adder? I want the engine as well as the entire car to be able to withstand the HP to run 10's and the force of popping a wheelie as well as be strong enough to withstand a 150 shot later on down the road if I deside I wanna go just a little bit faster. If so how much money would I be looking at?

I know that I am not nearly as knowledgable as many of you and that this question may seem a little odd but please indulge me for a sec.

Joey

BTW I got a 99 Firebird
