anybody ever do this?
I want to run 10's on my stock motor with just the bottle. When I say stock I mean stock cats, cam, hears, intake, tb, maf ( with screan). My best is in my sig but that was with a smaller shot bad traction and a bad trans. I have a new faceplated trans coming from liberty and I bumped the shot up and Iam now makeing 500rwhp. Can it be done in a full weight car? If not how close do you thing I can come? I am thinking between 10.9? to 11.1? I know thats a big area but What do you guys think?
You've got all of the right stuff- good trans., nice rear, shouldn't be a problem with enough gas.
I posted a simular Q in the single digit section a couple of weeks ago. Seeing if anone thought it was possible to go 9's with a completely stock motor, and how much gas would it take.
I would think with a 150-200 you could get 10's, if you can drive. Some guys claim to have run 250-300 on a stock bottom end, if you choose to go that high I would think maybe low 10's/high 9's might be possible. Of course, then it won't just be a "basic" nitrous set-up anymore, you'll need a standalone fuel system with either 2 stages, or a direct port set-up.
Keep us upadated. I'm in the same boat as you as for what I'd like to do. I won't have a 12blt but my T56 is being rebuilt as we speak, and I'll be on street tires/DR's, but I'm hoping for solid 11's with a 200shot on a completely stock motor.

My trans is at liberty right now should have it back this week or next. I dont really want to go any bigger with the shot I dont have any tuneing done so its all stock timeing but my a/f was off the chart at 10-1 and came back to 11.5-1 at the upper rpms, so I know its rich and for what I am doing thats fine with me. As soon as I get to the track and I can make a full pass I'll let you guys know.
