Default What's your suspension setup?

just curious, all I have done is BMR tubular lca's with relo brackets and I run on a BFG. Got the motor redone and all I have is spin city now.

I'm looking to cut consistent 1.5's on drag radials and don't want to run rod end links.

Every think about a torque arm, subframe connectors, and a panhard rod. Just to name a few.

not till you mentioned it Einstein. only cars in the 10's need to reply.

qal's it will be, with a spohn torque arm set at -3 or -4 degrees. Wonder if I can just get away with the fronts for now. I'm adding some BMR springs to get the ride height down cause my car looks like a 4 x4 especially with the 18's on it. I don't see how a panhard bar will affect my 60', its only used to center the rear end, but I guess I'll add one. I will add some subframes to stiffen the frame. Hopefully this will get my 60's down where they should be. (I want consistent low 1.5's)

Yea I plan on getting some 275/50/15 M/T drag radials with some nice Bogart wheels. Worse case scenario I get them in 17" and run them on my stock SS wheels.

Power is no fun if you can't hook it.

Daily Driving on my BFG's is fun though. Love when it kicks into second and how I can just lay into it and it just sticks.

Guess I'm looking at approx 1500 bucks for the suspension plus the wheels and tires.

No Problem
If the track is prepped, I can pull the front wheels about 6".

1.47 60' on m/t drag radials here.

bmr lca (regular boxed cheapys, non adjustable)
relocation brackets (set of lowest setting)
eibach lowering springs (hurt me)
BMR trak pak tq arm (chasis mounted) with -2.5 degrees of pin angle
blown stock shocks (they are truely awesome)
bmr SFC (do nothing imo)

you IMO are over thinking this. you dont need all this fancy **** if all you want is 1.5 60' on radials. you NEED a good tire, lca, and relocation brakets. that WILL get you the traction. everything else is just a bonus. i went 1.4-1.5 on stock tq arm so many times its sick. put a god damn tire on it!

the LT1 car has a bit more involved but i am hoping for low 1.4 60' on the radials with that one and 1.3 60' on a slick. shouldnt be a problem.

i'm going to do the torque arm last. already have tubular lca's and relo brackets on the lowest hole. You are right it could be something as easy as going to a better tire. I want the car to kinda hook on the street too. v6 springs are cheap and easy to put in, i'm gonna try those next. when I do step up to a m/t tire it will be in 15 inch rim size.

I have to start planning ahead cause I know the 10 bolt will go once I finally do start hooking and I want to change it before it goes.

Jeff,

I used to have all of that BMR crap and it made me spin everywhere too. So I took off the relocation brackets and Tubular LCA's. I replaced the LCA's with stock 1LE LCA's. Up front I have QA-1's but I still have DeCarbon shocks in the rear though. I cut consistent 1.6-1.7's. I have a Spohn TQ arm with my pinion angle set at -1 though. I tried to set it lower but it made the car ride like crap so I set it back to -1.
