prochargers in the 10's Just wondering how many people have prochargers running in the 10's. I am beginning to wonder if this will be possible with my D-1. It seems that all the fast cars run nitrous? Im trying to keep it as street worthy as possible without it being a drag car only cause I enjoy driving it, so does my wife for that matter. So hopfully some of you guys can give me some hope. The power numbers seem to be there with alot of people but not the times (I dont want to be a dyno queen). Thanks |
Mine does OK even on a Z06 cam but isnt exactly a daily driver ;) But my old 2000SS with a 100% stock motor and P1SC with headers at pretty much full weight (but I did have a TH350, got sick of breaking the M6) ran 10.90s a couple years ago without really even pushing it hard. Should be pretty easy with a D1 and good heads etc but you will have to put some good tires on it and drive it hard if you have an M6. http://video.ls1tech.com/search/p1sc...32D9A380C6.htm |
It seems autos are the way to go, but I love the 6 speed. |
You can do it with a 6 speed, just have to drive it hard, have the power and and get a good 60 foot. Most guys with street FI cars (blower or turbo) are heavy and not really set up for drag racing, just because you have a ton of power doesnt guarantee low ETs ;) |
yeah Im just hoping I can get the power to the pavment, believe me its going to be driven hard. Im sure that the trans will be the next thing I replace or rebuild, hell its the only thing left. |
Just got in there this past Monday :D. https://ls1tech.com/forums/10-second-club/493915-ran-my-first-10-a.html |
No ten sec time slip yet, I tried to put the slicks on the car and had lug nut issues. I ran it on the everyday 295/35/18 Kumhos and it did a best of 11.35 @129.8 with a 1.85 60'. I just upgraded the fuel system and added a 50 shot to help with the low end numbers. I hope to have the final tuning done and get a ten sec slip within a month or so. It is a P1 making 10# on an SC1 cam, other than that it is pretty mutch a stock motor with some upgrades to handle the power. |
