in! 10.98 @ 123
.put on the ls6 intake, while deleting egr/air and the pcv system. first run it went 11.000 @ 123 mph with a 1.58. i KNEW it would do it.
next run as follows-
60-- 1.559
1/8-- 6.989
mph-- 97.66
1/4-- 10.982
mph-- 123.67
i wanted to back that run up, and i KNOW it can go faster since the weather was not perfect. about 10* cooler and i think a low 10.90 or high 10.80 is very possible. it was around 60-70* out and humid on those runs. sucks though i was practically staged- and the car running ahead of me oiled down the track from the 1/8 on. they sent everybody home when that happened, since the cleanup would have taken at least an hour and it was near 11:00.
to give anybody an idea how i KNOW it can go a little bit faster, i only ran 12.30's @ 109 mph on my first two passes of the day which were on motor, and in really good weather (which we do get quite a bit at atco in the spring/fall and cooler summer nights) the car did consistent 12.1's and low 12.20's @ 111mph with the ls1 intake on it.
*** it though, a 10 is a 10 and im still happy. thanks for reading- please update status
im going back sometime soon with some weight out of the car, hopefully 30-50lbs out and hopefully cooler/dryer air to back it up and hopefully get solidly into the 10.90's or 10.80's.
funny how goals keep changing once you achieve them huh?
my goal for this car when i bought it was 12.0, then mid-low 11's, now 10.80's
. im confident that if the drivetrain holds up it'll do it. maybe i'll get some more bolt-ons also, i don't have underdrive pulley or elec. water pump yet.so title change?
I hope my car goes that well when I get the rest of my parts installed and some DR's
