Default what cam for 10 second

With stock weight, a 2002 Camaro Z28 M6

I have full boltons and will be getting a head and cam package soon.

I know I wont get even 11s without a Stout rearend and sticky tires.

So I will have a Ford 9" probably a Trutrac, with 3.73 or 3.90 gears..

full boltons

going with a 224 cam and head package ( I may want a bigger cam, but nothing too big)

I also have a racing suspension setup that may slow me down ( koni shocks, strano springs, bigger swaybars, Panhard Bar, etc)

What will I need for a 10 second pass?

T-56 with aluminum flywheel and LS7 clutch
No poweradders
perhaps a couple of weight reducing things but that is all
I am aiming for 400+WHP

Will it be possible with my gearing, weight, and power to achieve a 10 second pass? what kind of 60's should I look for with that combo?

Thanks

When my car was a M6 we had a Tex cam and she would run 10's all day long. Now my Brothers car has a 224/224 cam in it and with a 460le tranny runs 10's all day long but his race weight 3000. Good luck to ya.

With a 233/239 cam and a decent set of heads a good tune and all boltons and a 12 bolt with 3.73s or a 9" with 3.70s. I think 11 flat is possible...

If you are going to do a lot of drag racing, that Aluminum flywheel is going to make you bog off the line. I would go with a billet steel flywheel.

I will probably make 5- 10 passes per month on average and raod race every 3 months as an all day event.

I have had the aluminum flywheel for a long time now and all I do is smoke my tires or bog off the line. I know, it sucks for drag racing.

I think after my 12 bolt or 9" and with slicks I shouldnt have a problem anymore.

anyways for my next clutch I was thinking a billet steel flywheel to go along with it. maybe ina year or so. The LS7 clutch is still new.
