Easy 10's The 1st Time Out !!!!
I have been building a 9 second drag Radial street car for a little while now.
This is a 98 with a turbo 400, brake, 9" and a stock bottom end Dart headed engine. I am using a S80 from Hose at Forced Inductions.
I originally told him I want to go high 9's now and have a turbo to go 8" when I have the engine underneath it. He definately got me the right thing!
I have this stock bottom end fitted with ARP rod bolts and that is it .
Anyway, without any real tune in the car and only 18 degrees of timing and 10psi I ran the 1st pass a 10.50 @ 134 . this was on a 1.85 60ft spinning. After I realized I was coming out at 10psi I backed it down to about 5 psi and pulled a 1.53 60 on the 325 drag radials. My 1/8 mile times were 6.58 @ 107 .
My LS1 mustang ran a 9.92 1/4 mile and ran a 6.45 @ 107 1/8 mile So I figure I am about where I want to be .
The only problem was I seemed to power right through the converter in the car . I need to get a converter and get the car caged up and certified and I am sure I will see some 9.50's wi th this car .
My website has many pics . Thanks

You are making it look too easy .
Are you running speed density with HP Tuners?
What injectors? Are you using an Accelleronics injector box?
At what RPM does that turbo begin to spool at and then make full boost?
Do you have a 4" downpipe?
The guys name is actually "Jose" at Forced Inductions.

I am using 60 lbs injectors, Fast rails, twin aeromotive pumps, and a SD tune. Nothing special really. A good tuner and well matched parts go along way .
The turbo spools at 3500 and I was leaving at about 4000 on the brake making 5psi .
I will update you guys in a week or so how it does again . I have a new converter coming and will be going to 12 psi total .
The turbo has 5" outlet and I have it reduced to a 4" open downpipe
