10's in a 3600lb car
How much hp would it take to run 10's in a full weight f-body? My setup so far isn't gonna cut it, but just out of curiosity, what would, without nitrous and on stock cubes with a 6 speed (you would no doubt need an incredible driver rowing the gears)? Just thought this might make for a good discussion!

It'd be a LOT cheaper to do it with the spray Michael. Although it's possible to go 10s and meet all your requirements, it'd take a lot of money and a VERY stout heads & cam setup. Check out this link:

That car is much lighter than 3600lbs, but it meets the rest of your requirements.
If 10s are your goal, we can definitely make sure you get there!

I agree, it would be TOUGH!
I have a full weight LT1 Camaro...over 3600# with driver (Cause I'm 6'3", 250#). With a TH400 and a N/A 396 the car runs 10.90's.
The car still has everything from A/C, to full leather, and Bose sound system.
The motor is no punk. I makes in excess of 600HP N/A.
Regards,
Ronnie

In a 3600 lb camaro it will take 440rwhp(dynojet, locked converter) and a sixty foot in the low 1.50 range.
Mine is going to do it here shortly at 3800lb raceweight and 463 rwhp. I am close.
I ran an 11.25 with 2 wounded pistons @463 to the tire and a 1.58 sixty foot.
I will have it running again in a couple of weeks.

My car isn't 3600lbs but close, 3490 and I went 11.06 @124 on a 67 deg day w/ a headwind. I'll get my 10 sec pass this weekend hopefully. I run a stock bottom end w/ cartek ported 243 castings, a custom cartek cam, ported fast 90mm, NW 90mm TB, hooker headers, and a cartek tune. Car put down 478 RWHP through 4.56's w/ a nitrous ready driveshaft and a 12 bolt. The car is an absolute animal. I plan on selling the motor this winter so I can build something with more cubes. Good luck you can definatley get there with the right heads and cam setup.
