Default 11s possible bolt on only ??

i know its a streach but i was wondering how much it would take....my car went 12.685 lazy shifting into 3rd (low on tranny fluid) with just headers and lid and exaust...im taking out 85 lbs...i got my tranny topped off so it shifts great now and i added an ls6 intake and it should be in the 12.3 or 12.4 area now (with the same DA of course) i was wondering if i got an UD pully, ram air, and did some more weight reduction if i might be able to see 11s without a stall

Suspension is going to knock time off your E/T, whether you are hooking or not.

You must be running in some amazing DA if you are close to 11s without a converter.
In normal DA, not possible without a converter.

Weight/DA?

I went 12.61@110 1.91 60ft w/out a converter in my Old Black 02 SS a4 but i think it would take a lot of weight reduction to hit 11's.The Pewter 02 SS a4 i have now has the same as my Black one but w/ a Yank SS3600 stall and i went 11.88 @113 1.63 60ft so that tells u what a converter can do.

Give it a shot! I've never known of anyone trying for it w/o a converter. Your car will have to be pretty damn light, for sure.

Maybe if you take out the back seats, seat belts, floor mats, 1/4 tank of gas, front sway bar, spare tire/jack, maybe the passenger seat also and with your current mods you might squeeze out a 11.99. Also you should try to improve that 60ft if possible. Good luck! Keep us posted...

That isn't hardly any weight taken out at all. He needs to be around 3250 or so race weight IMO.

just bite the bullet , order a fti 3600 stall. it is the best bang for the buck.
i.56 60' times and my best pass was an 11.60 .
just bolt-ons ,and that was on the stock gears .
and this was in an IRS gto

car went 12.6 with just front bumper and sway off and a lid sfc's headers x pipe and tires....DA is -352.....since then i have added an ls6 intake and am taking out 85lbs. and fixed my sluggish 2-3 shift so it should be sittin around a 12.4 or 12.3 if the DA is good...then i have to add an UD pully and a RAM air and take some more weight out for hopeful 11s would be my thinking...the DA is the deciding factor i think

There is no telling.. But suspension WILL help you, dead hooking or not. All cars react differently to it.

I would add... LCAs/SFC/TQ arm and see how that does. Shocks are an A+++ suspension mod to that is often overlooked.

Ive banged out 12.2s with bolt ons and converter on 100% stock suspension with DRs in +1,500 DA. That was with a 1.69 60ft. With some new springs and a good plant in some of that negative east coast DA I might bang out an 11. One of my times "corrected" to a 11.99 at 0DA so if I can get a good enough hook in that -1,500 to -2,000 DA I think I could do it. 3,770 race weight.

Hate to break it to you but a C5Z with headers/intake would destroy your car properly driven. A win is a win either way.. But that that is a solid 11 car @ 120 mph.
Good kill!

3260 race weight?
