Default First time out on the trans am

Made the first passes Saturday night with the 2000 trans am I picked up a little while back. Pleased with how it ran for the first time out. Looking to get it faster. This was full weight with nothing removed.

Nice runs! Cut that 60ft and lose some weight and you will hit the 10's.

Not too shabby, but I noticed your 1/8 mile mph is really slow compared to the 1/4 mph

the 12.2 car looks slow at the 1/8 compared to 1/4 (picked up 30 mph) , assuming with your mods your the 11.5 car ? (picked up 24mph)

Thanks Texas speed and yall's parts selection is working !
I'm car 22 and yes I ran the 11.54. Not sure what to say about mph except this was the first passes for this cat since putting it together. The other car was a stick car if that ran the 12.20 and it was a ported Eaton term. We'll be datalogging it to see if we need to adjust shift points next time.

I like your setup btw. Ours are practically identical except mine is a 6-speed. Where did you get your 6.0 from?

The ls2 short block is a stocker that dyno speed took out of one their gto's. I've always had stick cars myself cause Ive always had stangs and sometimes I miss not being able to powershift, slamming gears but I don't miss clutch swaps.

I hear ya. I'm a former Mustang guy as well, and always prefered a manual, but to be honest I think I might prefer a good stalled auto at this power level...especially on nitrous. The car is great from a roll but tricky to get a great launch

Thanks! Nice meeting you and your bud at the track. Let me know when you head back up and maybe I'll be off where I can go also. I was launching at about 1,500 rpms and flooring it. I know, I should just floor it off idle but I haven't yet.

Thanks guys. I'm debating now about a underdrive crank pulley, 85mm maf install, 15' rear wheels/tires, and cutout with a merge collector. I just need a little bit more lol. Anybody have any ideas?
