Default 11 Second LS2?

Just looking to get my GTO to run close to mid 11s, I have headers, catback, and vararam CAI. Going to rebuild engine this winter and want to be around mid 11s.
Automatic 4 speed transmission and not looking for any wicked mods to change the stock appearance.

With a good head and cam setup along with a stall and sticky tire, mid 11's should be doable

I cant imagine you need to rebuild to reach those goals ... bolt ons can do that on an ls1 in an f body , I know the goat is heavier and the IRS presents some challenges maybe cam and bolt ons ????

What are you running now, mid-high 12's?. There are several heads/cam cars running low-11's with the occasional high-10. You might look at power adder options.

Since you have until winter, you might as well get all you can out of it and seat time. If you're going to stay N/A you're going to need all of this eventually. Add a good 4,000 - 4,400 converter (my stock ls2 starts pulling around 4k rpms), FAST102 and TB, 275 drag radials and stiffen up the suspension. Cut some weight. There are several items you can pull off and put back on. With good tuning, seat time and weather you should get into the 11's.

This ^ sounds like solid advice for an automatic ls powered car , stall to get/keep car in powerband , tires and suspension to hook it because the stall will make it a whole new animal and you cant go wrong with a fast intake... and the guys that make them fast with bolt ons gain the track/driving technique kind of knowledge that really makes them quick heads cam later
