Default first 11 second pass last night

mods: moroso cold air intake
straight pipe exhaust
B&M Shift Improver kit
removed sway bar
eibach sportline springs in the front, stock rear
NX solenoids, 53 jet N, 31 jet F, NOS fogger nozzle
3600 race weight (basically stock, removed the subwoofer i installed and 1/8 tank of gas)
Mickey Thompson ET streets, 26x10.5x16
2.73 gears, untouched stock 10 bolt!

the 13.9 was the motor pass from earlier that night, i got a ton of 12.00x passes and i guess i got a tailwind or just ran enough gas out of it and got the time i needed to join the 11's club

Default 11.9

Congratulations on getting in the 11's can you explain more how you did it. Beacause i want to get my LS1 Z28 in the 11's next year.

I know where your coming from as I had a 95 Z28 with 2.73's before this car.

I got 14.25 from that car stock and I had shorty headers, cutout, 3.73's air filter bored T/B just to hit 13.89 102mph. 2.08 60ft

I had the Nitrous kit I'm running now on that car but due to a faulty Nitrous solenoid I never got a pass on the spray!

That is a massive drop from 13.9 to 11.9 with a 120 shot.
Again 1.5 60 ft is impressive.

Were you spraying out the hole?

Don't get me wrong I not doubting you I can see the timeslips but it should not be possible to drop 2 seconds in the 1/4 by spraying 120hp shot.

So how have you done it!

i am spraying out of the hole, the mickey thompson ET streets are the best mod i've done to my car. they make the whole thing possible. on motor, as you saw, i ran a 13.905

my car has a B&M shift improver kit, that really snaps up the shift on the 1-2

i have it tuned with increased line pressure to help the shifting also

other than that, i dont know how else to answer it. i mean, it's a 53 jet nitrous, 31 jet fuel. i mean most 150 shots are 59 jet i believe (NOS jetting numbers i think) so yeah

i also took out the rear two cushions, and when i hit the 12.005 i took out the front seat, got the bottle topped off, and heated it up really good. there was another run earlier in the night that i was racing my roommate and it was so close that i forgot to bump it into D (i leave it in 2 at the line, then bump it into D after i know the 1-2 shift has happened, just a habit), so i hit the rev limiter, hit the brakes, and ran a 12.074 at 101. that pass i believe had a 11.8xx written on it if i didnt make a stupid dummy mistake

i guess all my time is in 60'. i mean it did run a 7.5xx 1/8 mile!

That will make a difference spraying out the whole, sounds like you are also spraying through the shifts.

Most guys who spray on here use a window switch to not spray below 3,000rpm and not spray through the shifts. It's a good time your running but you won't be doing your gearbox any favours or your motor if something goes wrong.

Now you have the 11 second timeslip I would get a window switch and safe gaurd your drivetrain they are only $80 get a digitail MSD one.

Again well done on that time, but surely you don't want to break the car!

yeah, spraying off the line.

no, dont have a window switch, haven't had one since i started running the bottle, (about a year and a half now)

yes, spraying through the entire run

yes, i could use a new trans in the near future.

no i'm not too terribly worried about spraying off the line, or sparying through the shifts...but i think that's just me.

lol, hope that answers everything....now if i could just get that user title name changed from a 12 to an 11 second club i'll be doin good
(i posted under the need a title change thread already)
