Getting an LS1 very soon hey guys, this is my first post on LS1TECH. Right now i have a hemi ram that is capable of running high 11's on spray, but im getting tired of only having that kind of speed on the bottle, so here's the deal. My sister has a 2000 trans am. this thing is BONE STOCK!!! even the traction control button has only been turned off 3-4 times, and those were the times i took the car out when she wasnt home. well, the times coming for her to get a new car, and i'm going to buy her trans am. it's an automatic (unfortunatly) and i want it to run mid/low 11's on motor. i'll have about 15K to spend on the car to get it done. im new to the LS1 so i was wondering if i could get some help from you guys. could someone give me a list of the main performance parts i'd need to get it done. now i know the whole bolt-on's, cam, heads, most likely forged internals, built transmission, rear end, and suspension. But i'd like for ya'll to let me know which brand to buy. specific parts names, and details on the parts would be great!!
