Went to Speedworld Raceway in Phoenix last night for some runs on street tires. I honestly wasn't expecting to get any decent launches, but I smoked the heck out of the Sumitomo HTR Z tires and they worked decent. Plus there was a bunch of VHT down from the Pro race earlier in the day. Previously with the six speed setup my best was a 2.0 60ft on street tires and a 12.98 at 114mph. Kudos to Greg at FTI for building me a stout setup. I'm getting some DR's for next weekend and we will see whats in store. Oh yeah I almost forgot, I had to short shift into 2nd because it was breaking the tires loose and bouncing off the rev limiter. So I shifted at 6400 going into 2nd and 6700 going into 3rd. Run was on 1/8 tank of gas, full interior, spare tire and speaker box removed. Raceweight of 3985lbs. DA was 1700ft. I was also only leaving at 1200rpm and rolling into the throttle or I would get wicked wheel spin.
