WOO HOO!

VIVA LE DIFFERENCE!

It's a totally different car... So different in fact, that I have serious reservations that the 12" 2500 reman' was much of a stall.

She RIPS through the gears now... and she seems VERY quick; but tomorrow is track night, so we'll see how she does against the clock.

Man... the new stall EXPLODES out of the whole... The first start was startling...

To understand the gains, ya need to account for the air she was running in compared to the previous best ETs...

The former Best was realized in PRISTINE 45(ish) degree air... CRISPY... that best was on the same setup minus the new Vig.

The last outing, prior to the Vig coming on board, two weeks ago, was roughly the same air as we had last Friday night when we pulled the new record... low 70s with decent humidity... We ran 20 or so runs and ran 8.00-.05 all night.

So with the same air that had the car runnin' flat 8.0xs... with the Vig, she turned out marginally better times than she had laid down previously in the best case 'air' scenario... we all know how the F-body reacts to cold air... 'Mo' BETTA!'

The new best is 7.86/1.69 60' @ 86.5 mph. This compared to the former best of 7.88/1.77 60' @ 88mph in exquisite air...

Also... I would also note that I could have swore, that I had a 7.83/1.68 but I can't find the slip... I was in a run against a PU which was FLYIN' in similar times that we were layin' down and I think I handed that slip to one of the other guys when we were comparing notes... so that's not official. I wasn't able to spot the clock this last time out, as the car was really loose up top and keeping her down the middle really required some concentration and steerage, so without the slips, I can't be sure.

The whole night was a rush... the thrill of the new set up and the anxiety that the VIOLENT launch was gonna break somethin'...

Now all we're waitin' for is another Cold Front to pass over and leave some COLD air to run this Vig in... where I've little doubt we'll be looking at 7.7xs...
