Hey guys I got a 86 Monte Carlo SS with a 355 with vortec heads, zz3/4 cam, eddie eps intake, carter 625 carb, hooker headers, built 200-4r tranny, 3500 stall w/lock up, 3:73 gears

my fastest pass has been an 8.07 at 84 mph in not the greatest air and i was just wondering if you guys think i can break into the 12s

all the online conversions say 12.6x but i dont see that i mean i can see a FI car running 8.0x and going that fast but not a carb car mine doesnt have the 1/8th mph or top end but idk im hopin for a 12.8x pass at like 107 or 108 but idk

and you guys running 4:10 gears running about the same i am... are you crossing the 1/4 finish line in 3rd or 4th gear?

its been like a million years since ive been on here ... but i made 12s!!

12.51 @ 104 for the fat girl lol .. and i got my 1/8th time down to 7.81 @ 86

 

Nice! I'm running 12.3 and I can't get in to the 7.8 in the 1/8th!

 

dang! .. those LSX motors pull so much in the second 1/8th mile!

 

You should make it to the 12s with your mods you got . Im thinking a 1290 or maybe a 1280 .

 

got me a 12.51 in september '10 ... ill try to dig up the time slip for proof
