Times with mods.
Times with mods. Well I went to the track last night(ozark raceway). Starting to keep a record of anything I do to the car and see what kinda of changes it makes.
The car is a 2001 Z28, all mods were done by previous owner.
Car is set up with LS6/4L80e with 3000 stall, Strange 12 bolt 3.42 gears. Full bolt ons.
My best time was
1.935 - 60ft
12.45 - 1/4 @ 111.0
Rear tires are 28x11.5x15 et streets, this combined with my 3.42 gears is what I think is killing my 60ft times.
Car has 101000 miles, motor 76000.
So my next thing is a good tune up. Plugs, wires etc...

Going from a 26in tire to a 28in you are losing abut 15% of your torque. If my calculations are correct. The reason I am running a 28in is because the wheels and tires I bought off of someone on ls1tech. So for now they are great ginnie pigs.

My next thing is going to be a 100 shot of NOS! Hell ya!
Oh and I am currently building a 408, goals are 500hp at rear wheels N/A 100+ shot on top of that we will see.

Dude your running one of the toughest trannys out there with a 12 bolt rear end. You ain't gonna break anything.

Verdad Gallardo Ok finally with the weather permitting I made it back to the track.
Air really sucked. First time out a 12.7, and went the best of 12.58.
At idle the car almost seemed to have a slight miss, but running down the track it felt very strong. so going to have to find out what is going on there.
Next step is throw some N2O to it.
