I just did make it, but I'm in. I put 315/35 17 Nitto 555s on for the event. I was running the 13.00 index. First qual pass was 13.067 @ 106.28. Then 13.092 @ 106.29. Last qual run was 13.18. I lifted my foot a little right before the tree fell because I was creeping through the staging lights.
Next morning in the elimination runs I ran a 13.009 @ 108. Then I screwed up and adjusted my tire pressure. I was at 18 PSI in both tires and backed it down to 15 Left and 14 right and turned a 12.964. I was eliminated but I was happy to be eliminated by seeing a high 12 rather than to fall off my 13.00 run. Oh well. It's the slip on the left.

 

Nice run bro, i had the same **** happen to me last year. I was running the 1/8 mile and i got put out for running just a lil to fast Lol.

 

Thanks. It was kinda funny. Several guys came up to me while i was loading the car on the trailer telling me they were thinking I'd take the whole thing. I'd run more runs right on top of my index they thought I'd go all the way...and I had to go and change my tire pressure. Live and learn. I was a blast and good to get back on a track.

 

Congrats, I bet it feels great! When the weather clears up here I'll be looking for 12's at the track as well.
