Almost Stock 02 SS is in. OK, been off the board for a little while, just noticed this new forum. Mine ran in the 12's a couple of years ago in the fall. The car is an 02 SS with the factory 345hp cme option, M6 t-top. At the time the only mods were the free mods, a holley filter, and an 85mm SLP MAF. Race weight was 3600 lbs, and it was on the stock F1's at 18psi. The day was a cold day on Nov 3, 2002, with a slight 5-10mph tailwind at Byron Raceway in Northern Illinois. Temps were in the low 50's. I don't know the DA, but suffice it to say it was a good day for racing.
Here is the time slip.
I came out about 2500 rpm after a long burnout, eased out on the clutch, then powershifted to the line.
It was the last run of the day, and my best one. Made my year that year !
I've not been back to the track on a good DA day since. Mods since that day are not much, mostly AX mods like Bilsteins, Recaros, GC's, Baer GT+ brakes, and Kumho MX's. I do have a pulley now and have changed the trans and axle fluid to synthetics. I went to the track once this summer and trapped 107 on a 1.90 60ft on BFG DR's. Hope to go in the fall and improve on the e.t.
