my car is an m6, my main issue is launcing the car. I cant really launch above 1700 rpm without spinning the tires real bad. Also when i shift to second gear, the car fishtales and I have to leave off. Maybe I better buy a new set of tires......

Drag radials are your friend ...

Micky thompson DR's are the best out there right now

get them on take it to the track and heat them up a little (nice 4-6 sec power brake) then take the rpm's up to about 3 grand to start and see what happens. if the hook take the rpms higher. if you spin take them down a little untill you don't spin off the line.

Traction-sounds like you need some.
A buddy of mine ran a 12.85 @ 108 with his
old 02 M6. He had a Lid and Nitto DR 275/40/17 all else stock.
