what does it take?
I had 2.73 with FRA=LID & K&N and cut-out my best was 13.67 on street tires. I have done a gear swap to 3.73 and dropped to a consitant 13.2. I would say you need (gears swap Lid cut-out Nittos or BFG DR) MAYBE hit 12's but to be sure yo will need LT's

I just ran a 13.10@108 with the same car 01 Z28 A4 w/2.73 gears on street tires, my modifications are a HPTuners programming (i only dynoed 275rwhp without the lid) and a SLP Lid, with a 2.0 60' time, ill be in the 12's with DR for sure, or a exhaust, all im going to do next is a ported TB and Nittos, cool weather will do the rest, but the easiest way is the stall converter for sure, you need a baseline run first

Mods: FRA, descreened maf, A Flowmaster muffler with stock exhaust, SLP lid with fram filter, and Nitto 315-35-17 555r.
1/4 mile:
60' = 2.029 ( Nitto would cause a bog. On this run it spun then bogged the car down)
1/8 = 8.486
MPH= 86.56
1/4 = 12.996
MPH= 108.55
When the car would bog with out the spin I would run 13.00?

mods- (it may sound like alot but it really isn't much)
free- egr cutoff, tb bypass, ! front swaybar, ! back seats, ! spare and jack, ! passenger seat,
power- lid, hptuners tuned by myself.
drivetrain- tci ssf3800, shift kit, cooler, nitto 555r tires.
best of (last thursday to be exact) 12.72 @ 106.66mph, 1.80 60ft. that was backed up through out the night with a 12.77 @ 106. XXmph w/ a 1.81 60ft and another 12.7X with a 1.83 60ft.
headers/ory/cutout im shooting for at least 12.5 @ 109mph.
to get into the 12's? i ran 12.9 with just a ssf3500 stall/ shiftkit/ cooler, lid, hptuners, !spare and jack, on street tires.
