Angry Still lookin....

Hey guys,

I was just curious what you think my car should be capable of. My mods are in the sig. Last year I ran a 13.15 @107 with a 2.09 60' on my stock and broken rear end. This year I managed just a 13.08 @107 with a 1.93 60' on the new strange rear end. I was wheel hoppin all day, and on that run and my best 60' was 1.90. It was also somewhat cold at the track and my Nittos did not seem to want to stay sticky. Any advice..I am so sick of running 13s.

BTW I am near the top of 4th gear as it is, so with a better 60' will I need 28" slicks?

Thanks in advance

Give those nittos a good 5 sec burnout. They have to be nice and toasty.

I heated the **** out of them...but for some reason by time I got back to the pits they were all hard and not sticky anymore. They used to spit rocks the whole way back and still be sticky like 10minutes later.

How old are the tires? Cold weather doesn't help the tires either. Those nittos need to stay warm and soft to hook good.

I think the tires are about 2 years old, but they are mostly just used at the strip. I kow the weather did not help, but I still would have expected them to be a little softer. Could it be that they are just getting hard cause they are old and sat in my dry garage all winter?

I think you should be in the 12's, but your wheel hop must be killing you. Can't be helping the 60ft either. Look at experimenting with the pinion angle, Maybe some adjustable shocks and possibly springs. Work on tuning the chassis and get rid of the wheel hop. Also look at removing weight, show up with less than a quarter of a tank of gas.
