Default First time at GIR with the M6

Gateway International Raceway

First run:
Heated the tires up a little bit, left at 4500. I couldn't shift into 2nd or 3rd without it grinding.

60'- 1.866
330- 5.594
1/8- 8.729
MPH- 78.82
1000- 11.283
1/4- 13.371
MPH- 109.30


Second run:
Same as first except I left at 5000. Same problem with shifting.


60'- 1.856
330- 5.521
1/8- 8.397
MPH- 85.17
1000- 10.933
1/4- 13.016
MPH- 109.22

Third run: Heat the tires up pretty good, launched at 52-5300 RPMs. It hooked like a ****, slammed it into 2nd and my hand slipped off the stick. It went into 3rd and 4th easily this time around.

60'- 1.772

MPH- 85.62
1000- 10.447
1/4- 12.442
MPH- 113.61


Now, I need to learn how to powershift properly and I'll be in the 11's. There is a ton left in this car. Not too shabby, considering my LTrims are around plus 25, had a SES light, and still no tune.

If I did the calculations right this is my corrected times.

I was running on a pair of borrowed ET streets 16" and Fikse 17" FM5's up front.

First time I have been to GIR in about 2 years. I used to go out to MAR in Wentzville all the time with my old Z28, but that track is now becoming a subdivision...

So I'll be hitting GIR a little more now.

Yeah that sucked when they shut down MAR. I have yet to take my car to Gateway but have been there to watch many times.
