12's in Need of a rear

12's in Need of a rear 1st time out this season and ran on my 285 GSD3's. Best pass was 12.4 @ 116 w a 2.1 short time. At MDR they had cones so you could not drive around the waterbox. It sucks running treaded tires. Last season I cut a 1.9 60 on 16 Nitto's and it felt like the rear was gonna break so I let out after it hooked and coasted down the track. I'm going with a 12 bolt when the funds allow and should net some 11's down the road.
I'm still on the stock gears and notice i'm hitting 4th right before the traps and finishing at close to 5500rpms. I'm thinking some 4.10's will really help out to pick up a few mph by running 4th out and crossing at 6500rpms.
