my 12 sec thread
my 12 sec thread I made it into the 12's finally on august 16th i think, I ran a 12.882 @ 109.14. My 60' was 1.93 after 2.0' all friggin day. my highest trap speed though was 110 something. aaanndd i manually shifted the a4 the tune bounced me off every gear but i still trapped that 110 amazing how far off it is.
K so heres how i got there.
In the spring (cool weather, april) i ran a 13.08 @ 106.35 at that time i had 3.73's, a shitty tune, smooth bellows, lid, ftra, full emissions, magnaflow cat back, i think i was running slf maf screened, street tires that literally were showing thread after that day, and a vibration, n i think that was it.
after that day i added an ls6 intake, removed egr and air pump, ported my tb/bumpstop, 160 t-stat, took off the slp maf put on stocker no screen, edelbrock competition race headers long tube, no cats, 3 inch all the way back. i took off the smooth bellows so the lid would finally fit right, new street tires, still a shitty tune, and a aluminum driveshaft new u's n a slip yoke. ohh still the vibration.
i spent like over 1000 dollars to run exactly 2 tenths faster lol what a bitch. but in my defense the car pulls like a mother above 4k i gained at peak 4 mph, and it was a shittier day(hot summer). Ohh and i didnt load the car at all from the start...i just forgot to. spring i loaded it to like 2-3k.
any questions let me know, i did everything myself including breaking the oil pressure regulator thing like everyone else but i didnt install the gears.
