Try slipping the clutch next time if you couldn't launch past 2k

I launched with Nitto 555rs at 12 psi @ 3700 RPM to achieve 1.9 60's .

8.07 @ 89.25 mph

M6 Z28 2002 fried clutch

edit:

So what I wanna know from you is, what tire pressure did you have, when u launched at 4500/5000?

Also did your shifter help alot?

I ran a 12.7 before this track day and my only mods since then were the shifter and the shift light. Let me tell you they both deff helped me acieve the 12.4. The old shifter was a stock hurst non short throw with a lss and it was ok but it was crap compared to the pro 5.0 deff get a better shifter if you have a stock hurst non short thorw!

I'm hoping I can drop down to the mid 12's with some more mods. I ran a 13.1@106 with the stock Eagle F1's and just a lid and exhaust. By the summer next year I'm hoping to have debaffled my hood and sealed it to the airbox, done the TB bypass, put in the Shaner S3 TB and LS6 I just got, probably an underdrive pulley, and definitely a ~3200-3400 stall TC and some drag radials or slicks. I launched at 1400rpms for that time too, so with my TC and tires that should go way up and hopefully my 60 will go way down.

What do you guys think I'll be able to run after that stuff?

With all that you'll be well into the 12's. Mid sounds right to me. I pulled a 12.8@108 with basically the same mods you have. Its all about traction.

Soooo very true.

w/ stock manifolds and WS-6 exhaust I went 12.5 @ 106 w/ lid, converter, tires.

added headers/exhaust....12.2 @ 110
150 shot 11.2 @ 120
