Default Still in the 12s! I Suck!

Went to the track again. Been a while. Changed my setup.
Old best was
12.24 @ 112 w/ 1.85 sixty.

Today worst.
60' - 2.529
1/8 - 8.69 @ 90.3
1/4 - 13.003 @ 115.22
Nitto DR 18psi - in out of throttle until second.

Today Best.
60' - 2.11
1/8 - 8.02 @ 91
1/4 - 12.32 @ 116
Nitto DRS 14psi. - easing into throttle spining before second.

Both old and new runs are on 17x9 ROH snypers all around
kumhos out front and nittos out back
my burnouts are less than desirable. Geez.

Your 60' is killing you, throw some good tires on there and get that 11 sec time slip already

he has a better chance of NOT breaking the rearend because of the preload with the A4 , compared to the M6.

Yeah, I plan on some new tires. I just want to be able to give it full throttle. Tired of easing into first gear. My sixties and burnouts suck. Wonder how much mph im losing by part throttle in half of first and launching off idle?

Looking at your sig, you need more torque to get the car moving. You def got the HP to be an A4 (unlocked) ... nice HP #'s, but, I'm not understanding why your RWTQ is that low. You still have the stock TC vs a big TC? 3.23 vs 3.73 gears? IMO, that's what you need to launch on some MT ET Street drag radials. Get those torque numbers up and I think you'll be surprised at how fast it moves through the 1/4. If you're on a stock rearend, first thing I'd do is a 12-bolt ... 9" if you're serious.

JEB99TA
- It pulled 390rwtq locked. Its my converter I think. It pulls hard down low. It is a soft hit. I plan on changing that early this year w/ss4000. Im just overpowering those tires. I have 3:73s in it as well. I have yet to launch without easing into the throttle. Hoping new tires will solve some launching issues.

Also looks like you have a well match combo.

Saw the GU5 in your sig and thought you had 3.23's. Tried to lock my TC down on the dyno and got to 425 RWHP ... then Mike realized the TC would not lock up all the way. I have no idea what the RWTQ numbers were at that point. I believe it would have been 440+ RWHP and prob 420+ RWTQ. It's all speculation, though.

That SS4000 will be a lot of stall for the street until you take a few months to get used to it. My 3600 hits like a 4000. I love a big stall. And thanks for the compliment friend. You get that thing moving quick with a 1.5-1.6 60' time, you'll def be at least low 11's. You'll get there soon with your new converter for sure.

Yank said the SS4000 would drive kinda like the converter I have in it now, but out perform it by a good bit.

Those are great numbers w/a smaller 224/228 cam! Awesome!

Not yet. I have the tires and some 16s, gonna have them mounted this week and if its not raining im going to the track this friday! The SS4000 is in and is killer w/MS3 and 3:73s. I have 400miles on the converter and no problems yet. Locks up perfectly and unlocks as well.
