if he's in the 12's already, i should really get a stall and go for 11's 
On a mission for 12s... any advice?
On a mission for 12s... any advice? Here's the setup I have so far on my Z
- A4
- Pacesetter coated LTs
- ory pipe
- magnaflow catback
- FTRA kit
- TSP Lid with K&N air filter
- ZR1s (17x9.5 in the front, 17x11 in the back) with Nitto 555R Drag Radials
- vehicle weight is about 3300 lbs w/out driver (no options stripper, might even be a little bit less but i cant remember the exact number)
- 2.73 gears
I'm not 100% sure that this set up will get me into 12s...I haven't had the opportunity to find out for myself with the weather being crazy here lately.
I'm also thinking that my gears will limit my ability to reach 12s. I was thinking of getting a hotcam @ a 112 lsa (still want one), but I think I should get a stall first. I'm thinking a vigilante or a yank @ 3200.
When i had the car bone stock it ran 13.6 @ 103 on 16 inch snowflakes with yokohamas (don't remember the specific tire, only the brand, but they weren't anything special thats for sure).
So what do you guys think? Are 12s presently a good possibility, or do I have a ways to go? Any suggestions, advice, etc would be greatly appreciated

You should be in the 12s if you can hook up, but I'd add a tune to your list with the exhaust mods you have. I'm sure there's some power there.
Converter + sticky tires would net a few tenths quicker at least.
