330.2 rwhp = 12's ? :headbang: ive got a 2000 z28 it dynoed 330.2 rwhp you guys think itl break 12's in oh say 90 degree weather zero humidity? 10 inches of TOYO , its an A4 but i can bump the firmness with my tuner |
congrats! and hell yeah you better bust off a 12! :drive: |
You should be able to, but the weather is not on your side. Traction is the key to your success. |
yeah the weather is deff my downfall, thanks for you help! |
lol no you'll run 13.2-13.4 in good weather and 13.5-13.6 in 90 degree weather! that lookin at ur mods. dynos vary! |
bummer, you had my hopes up! its all good though if it doesnt run 12's on motor itl be time for a nasty cam |
my car made 333rwhp and went 12.61 in florida heat.you should hit high 12's or very low 13's. |
with 330 rwhp I would say you have a chance if you get good traction. I trapped 103 with 271+lid, my 60' sucked though. If you make a good 60', and you really have 40-50 more hp than me you shouldn't have a problem. BTW, I wouldn't go cammin in just yet. Get a torque converter, it'll be cheaper, and it'll make a bigger difference. |
get a nice sized stall some dr's and longtubes and you'll be running 12.30's or even faster when it gets kool here in sac! |
awsome, ill have to find out |
the reason im not gong by ur dyno numbers is ur car is pretty much stock and prolly dynoed at force fed performance in roseville and his dyno reads extrmeley high! |

I went 13.5 @ 103, 2.0 60' in the FL heat stock w/ lid. Added a 4000 stall converter and some sticky tires and I went 12.5 @ 106, 1.69 60'. 100 shot and I went 11.5 @ 114, 1.52 60'. This was on stock ws-6 exhaust too! See sig for current mods and times. BTW, the dyno says I make 295 rwhp n/a |
I def am not in the worst environment, my car did 323hp/333tq and i got a 12.86@111mph. Traction was good with mt radials and it's a M6. If you get a good launch i think you could see 12s temp will be a big factor however. GL and post results! Only one real way to tell if it'll get 12s :) William |
camscam02 you are right on the money , i checked the sheet and that is exacly were he had it dynoed at force fed. that sucks though, what do you think its realy puttin down? |
FWIW i have seen a few 02 cars dyno ~330 bone stock on a mustang dyno AND run 12.8s at the track, so it is possible. and these cars were A4s. |
depends on elevation i put down 348hp and 365tq.. best i got was a 13.2 at 105 sittin above 5500 feet above sea level and over 5500 d/a |
wow now im realy anxious to get to the strip and see what itl do in this heat |
in 70 degree weather which was quite humid, my friend drove his 2000 Z28 M6 with lid and catback to 13.13 @ 106 with a 2.0xx 60 foot. Same day, my other friend drove is 2000 Z28 A4 with catback to 13.2xxx with a high 2.0 60 foot on stock tires (yes stock tires car only has less than 20k miles)...i think low low 13's is where you will be at |
you all just wait! im still hoping for a 12.9 pass, gotta think positive right :) |
my car untuned dynoed 337rwhp and untuned it ran 12.2 |
