Default i hit a 12, but was it good enough? no....

i ran my car friday night. it was over 100 degrees outside and the humidity was through the roof. there were a couple passes where i missed a shift because my hand was so sweaty it slipped off the shifter . the track was in ****-poor condition with no prep, but it never is good....so....take that for what it's worth...

i went 13.20, 13.13, 13.02, 12.93, and 12.80 before my best pass. it took a while to get a feel for the car that night....the last 6-speed i drove there was my R6...

2.12 60'
12.73 @ 112.42mph
brand new MT ET Street Radials 275/40/17

the car managed a 1.85 60', but that was a missed-shift pass, so my ET was crap. i know with good traction the car is good for a low 12, but how low do you guys with a lot of LS1 experience think? 12.40? 12.30? faster? i was a little disappointed, BUT, discounting my bad driving and the terrible atmospheric conditions and track condition, it wasn't all that bad i suppose. and shouldn't i be trapping closer to 115 mph???

yeah we're all on the same page here i was praying for a 11.8xx at around 116....but i told myself in the conditions and with my driving it would have been around a 12.4xx......

needless to say i was a little disappointed, BUT, MoKan is a crappy track. i've seen more than one 12.3xx car run 11.8xx in Tulsa at the midnight drags under the same conditions on consecutive weekends. i'm not sure what to think really.

here's a better example, i know a kid with a T-rex in an older Z28, with almost stock suspension, stock rear end, and less motor mods and a SPEC 3 run 12.05 at like 115 or something like that...my car should walk past that car, but i couldn't get it out of the hole or keep my sweaty hand on the shifter half the night, but STILL you'd think i would have gone faster...
