Default First time to the track with the new setup...

Well I made it to the track last week and made 5 passes...the first pass was very disturbing...the rest were acceptable.

1st 14.42 @ 92.78mph 1.95 60'
2nd 12.83 @ 114.8mph 1.87 60'
3rd 12.10 @ 117.13mph 1.77 60'
4th 12.32 @ 115.74mph 1.87 60'
5th 12.07 @ 117.18mph 1.79 60'


With a little more seat time, i know the car should go mid 11's with this setup...

Car weighed 3065 with me...i need to put the car on a small diet...i can easily take 100 lbs out of the car...

that 12.1 and 12.07 pair of teasers would have pissed me off! Nice runs. I've never searched for RX-7/LS1 combos, but any idea how yours compares to others on their 1st runs?

The car will be in the mid 11's next time at the track. This was the first n/a and V8 vehicle i have ever dragged. Lauching is a little different and I am still working out the shift points. I am used to pushing the RPM's up past 8000rpms...

I have taken similiar powered rotary RX7's into the low 11's. The weight is about the same...so all i need is to get back out to the track...

Other similiar setup LS1/RX7 have run anywhere from mid 11's to high 12's...

Awesome car bro. I went the nissan path with a 95 240 with ls1/t56. My best et so far is 12.56@111, but my best trap is 12.60@114. My motor is stock internal, stock tb, stock manifolds, into 3" y pipe, single 3" catted exhaust. Weight was 3190 with me in the car.

What mods are done to your motor?

She has now made about 20 11.XX passes with the best being 11.40 @ 125.10.

I will be looking to put her in the 10's very soon.

I still need to put the car on a diet...the 11.4 pass the car weighed 3155 with me in it. I guess thats what AC and big stereo will do for you...

damn with those weights you may has well just kept the ls1 in a camaro...lol totally kidding, I have ls1 fd as well and honestly ive never weighed it. I noticed your trap times were similar last season on a completely stock motor and street tires i pulled 12.7 at 114 WITH TERRIBLE WHEEL HOP this is full stock suspension, what did you use to hook and go if you dont mind me asking.

I just recently on mild cam put down 375whp but didnt bother going to the track till i can cut out the wheel hop. you on v8rx7forum?


either way keep up the good work and i plan on following up with you keep me in the loop i have NX system at the house thats the next step in power i really want a 10.99 lol just all together skip 11's

and to the guy asking about ls1 rx7 times... with suspension cause the irs just Squats bad and hops i was only able to cut 2.1 60's or feather it out of the hole, but i run no problem roll running my buddies 11.3x evo who put down 495.

anyone around the KC area come roll with us anytime or interested in the swap come check it out we have like 5 in the area.

lol this is why i dont let friends drive my car. they dont realize the tach redline with factory gauges is no longer 8000 plus haha bad news bears if i make that attempt
