another 12 second car...

another 12 second car... I went to the track for the first time in over 5 years with my car Saturday. I wanted to see what it would do since the cam/headers/tune last year. It was a decent low 60's degree day at Milan dragway.
I wanted to make one run with my stock tires before I potentially broke something with my drag radials (never used before). I ran a 13.52 at 114 mph, with a 2.69 60ft. ...alot of wheel spin, even on a soft launch. I quickly decided it was a waste of time trying to run on my stock tires, so I put the drag radials on. I considered my next run a learning experience which included nearly stalling on the launch due to awesome traction (not used to that!) and missing third gear. Then it was time to get it right (or at least better!)... 12.81 @ 112 w/ 2.0 60' was next...launched around 2600 RPM. Then I told myself if I ran a better time this next run I would be done for the day before I broke something...12.74 @ 112 w/1.9 60'...launched around 3200 RPM.
These numbers are pretty much exactly what I had predicted it would do from seeing other setups and results on here. I could probably squeeze another tenth or two out of it if I had the ***** to run/launch harder.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Hey 02 wife, I think I remember your car in the staging lanes. Another guy had a white Z28 too, and a guy with a Firehawk. Those are some nice numbers...do you have stock heads? Looks like your cam is similar to mine.
